The United Professional Pro-Force Savannah River Local 125

The United Professional Pro-Force Savannah River Local 125 (UPPSR Local 125) is located at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, South Carolina. The Security Force Provides Security for the Department of Energy under the Contract of Wackenhut Team and has been in existence for over 25 years. In 2007, the men and women joined together to become an Independent Union. The UPPSR Local 125 has over 300 members working together to ensure that each worker maintains a Safe working environment, and are provided Benefits. The men and women that make up this Security Force are Professionals, Retired Military, Reservist, and members of the Community that have been trained to provide Security to protect our Country and Local Communities.
The UPPSR Local 125 members give back to the community and its member's families. A Scholarship Fund established in 2009 provides $8,000 annually for their member's children to attend college. On January 26, 2010, The UPPSR Local 125 gave a timely donation to the American Red Cross of $2,000. With this donation the American Red Cross provided Assistance for those affected by the disaster in Haiti; to learn about this gift at work visit www.redcross.org or call 803-641-4152. UPPSR give additional donation to sport groups that provide team sports to children within the communities in which we live. In addition to these generous donations the UPPSR Local 125 reached out to the patients and families at the MCG Health Children's Medical Center. On March 2, 2010, a donation designated to benefit the patients and families was much appreciated by the families and staff at MCG Health. The UPPSR Local 125 continues to look for ways to help the Community and our Families.
